Elias Charcour of
the Melkite Greek Catholic Church was Archbishop of Akko, Haifa, Nazareth and
all Galilea from 2006 to 2014. Reasons for his retirement are unclear.
In 1984 he wrote
the autobiographical Blood Brothers.
